Dear fellow sailors,
Greeted with a 20-22 kts of ESE the 10 boat fleet got away to a fast down
wind run to Henning with the tide, and turned into wind and tide on the way
home.
Grace Hindmarsh and Sailor Harvey from the Island’s school sailing program
joined the race aboard Hedonism and Adrenalin, with 10 year old Grace
steering Adrenalin down to Henning Island.
Hedonism had a good dice with Xtsea and Swanky all the way around the
course, but David Stielow’s local knowledge and around 17 tacks on the work
home, gave Hedonism first place on corrected time.
The post race bbq just gets bigger and bigger with crews and friends joining
in a very relaxed evening. Our chef’s of the night from Sunmaid did a great
job serving over 70 steaks.
Music this week was supplied by Cool Runnings Georgina on the new sound
system kindly donated by HI Weddings. Each week a different crew is asked to
bring their iPods and supplied some ‘appropriate’ music. Next week Adrenalin
(you’ll love Mario Lanza…) followed by Bahai.
Our thanks to Laurelle for giving Georgina a night off from behind the bar,
Pete for organising a gas bottle at short notice and the Sunmaid crew for
volunteering to cook.

I look forward to seeing you on the water.
