The Rear Vice Commodore of the Cruising Yacht of Hamilton Island, Dennis Winstanly, intends to do more than just “cruise” around the whitsundays with the arrival of the his new SB3.
The SB3 is an easily handled one design design keelboat requiring a minimum of 3 sailors, and has received rave reviews both locally and around the world.
According to Hamilton Island CEO Mr Glenn Bourke, 2 time Australian Yachtsman of the Year “the SB3 is simply the best small keelboat money can buy. They are good in light airs or a howling blow, they are tactical upwind and down which makes for good racing and, once you launch the masthead spinny then get ready for some blasting downwind action. But what really help set this one design apart from all the others is how easy they are – Easy to find crew, with only three necessary, easy to rig, easy to tow and best of all, easy on the pocket”
So if you see a bloke on Hamilton island holding a hammer with a really big grin, say hi to Dennis, as you wont get a chance on the water!
